The
term of the gemstone is a very unclear one. It has always been used for
beautiful and rare stones which were distinguished by brilliance,
clarity, hardness or color. In the meantime, the term gemstone is used
for all kind of stones, from which we can grind jewelry or objects.
Even less clear is the term of "healing stone" because all the gems can
be beneficial. But in the legal sense, the effects of precious stones
and crystals are neither scientifically nor medically proven or
recognized. Therefore "healing stones" do not exist.
On the other hand, the history of crystal healing can show us
considerable experiences over thousands of years. In any case, all the
greats in the art of healing have included stones and crystals into
their treatments, starting with the ancient Egyptians and going on to
Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) and Paracelsus (1493-1541).
This
ended about the 17th C. For about 30 years this discipline now
experiences a renaissance, especially since current measuring methods
(eg. EEG) and new explanatory models (especially by the bio-photons)
are slowly creating a sustainable base. The pioneers of this new
analytic crystal healing are Michael Gienger, Walter von Holst, Werner
Kühni, Monika Grundmann, Isabel Silveira, just to name a few.
For about 15 years now are gems and crystals come in the shape of wands
and since then these are successfully in use in reflexology treatments
and acupressure. Be inspired by the gemstones and crystals to use our
"Fruits of the Earth" for your well being and perhaps also for health.
