Palpation
The
visual inspection is usually followed by palpation for unusual tissue
tensions in the skin and the subcutaneous tissue. The muscles play a
minor role in this kind of finding.
The most important results, we get are swellings and compactions.
Swellings feel like, as if there would be a liquid-filled cushion under
the skin, and they indicate conditions of energy surplus in the
associated organs, whereas compactions give the impression that the
skin seems to be compressed. These are signs of energy deficiency.
It is really difficult to describe the palpation and the perceptions,
but it is very simple and clear, if one experiences this finding
practically. In the seminars, the palpation will be practiced
thoroughly.
