"Holistic" encompasses several areas that overlap and influence each
other. Whether in the Yin-Yang of Daoism or in Christian teaching,
ultimately it is about expanding the frame of reference to a higher
level. In the Dao, at the centre of Yin there is a small Yang and at
the centre of Yang a small Yin. As one grows larger, inevitably the
respective centre also enlarges. Thus, there is a mutual dependence.
Even in the pursuit of health, it is important to seek the overarching
from the details and the whole. As fascinating as it is to explore the
function of a single cell, we must not lose sight of the whole, namely
that this cell is integrated into the physical-mental overall structure
of the human being.
Reflexology zones are holographic systems that project the entire human
onto a region of the skin. In this sense, through reflexology
treatments we have access to the human being in all their aspects.
"Consciousness is empty in its essence, yet it encompasses and holds
all things." This wisdom from Tilopa (988 – 1069) in the Song
of Mahamudra also relates to us and our organism. From a modern quantum
physics perspective, we are a vast holographic field of information and
energy in which a high consciousness prevails – or more
precisely, we are a consciousness that integrates all this within
itself.
Even if we do not yet fully understand quantum physics, we can
increasingly recognise its significance for our lives and our bodies.
This is reflected in the research of Fritz-Albert Popp, Bruce Lipton,
and others, as they illuminate the electromagnetic and quantum physical
fields from which our organism ultimately consists. This begins with
the fact that the two electrons of the hydrogen atom "know" of each
other and extends through the frequency fields of biophotons to the
liquid crystal properties of the cell membranes in our body.
Quantum physicist Erwin Schrödinger once roughly posed the
question: "How is it possible that when a cell duplicates in our
biology, not a single error occurs?" even though, as Popp shows, about
10 billion molecules must be precisely positioned with each cell
formation in their replacement. By the way, this happens in our bodies
about 10 million times per second. As an answer, Popp demonstrates that
it is the biophotons that enable this within us. Furthermore, in all
approaches, we are confronted with the phenomenon of consciousness,
with a spiritual magnitude from which we consist and which permeates
us.
Accordingly, all impulses in reflexology are information that we
contribute to this field of consciousness. It is therefore all the more
important to administer all impulses with the greatest possible
mindfulness. In doing so, we offer ourselves and those who entrust
themselves to our hands an appreciation that we all deserve.
Ultimately, through consciousness, we are intimately connected with
everything.
Connection with the Energy Flow
This excerpt from the book "
CRYSTAL
WANDS" also applies to all treatments in reflexology.
Deep down, we all have a sense of what is beneficial for us and what is
harmful. Each of us has access to our own energy world. Some feel the
energies of the Earth, others have access to human energy fields, and
yet others can sense the energy situation of a room. Strangely enough,
all people can feel the energies of gemstones. Often, this is limited
to intuitively picking a particular stone while leaving others aside.
This can be vividly demonstrated with gemstone spheres that are of the
same size and temperature. If someone rummages through the spheres with
their eyes closed, even sceptics frequently reach for similar gemstone
qualities. The same applies to reflexology. Here too, we may assume
that we are dealing with energies that touch us internally. It is no
wonder that reflexology massages reach deep levels of our human being.
In this case, the treatment compass for this type of massage is our
intuition – our felt knowledge.
Sit comfortably, with your feet firmly on the ground and your hands
placed on your navel. Now imagine your feet growing roots. With every
breath you feel through the rising and falling of your abdomen beneath
your hands, your roots spread ever wider and deeper into the Earth.
Sometimes these roots extend deep into the Earth's interior, even to
the magma. Let your roots joyfully splash in the magma and watch as all
burdensome thoughts and feelings flow away there.
Now please direct your attention to the crown of your head. Imagine
opening a spiritual sunroof there and choose a beautiful star in the
night sky. Let this star shine upon you and feel how its pleasant light
flows through your spine and down your root tips into the magma.
Gradually, this light bubbles around your roots like a whirlpool bath.
In this way, you create a beautiful and light-filled connection between
your outer universe and your inner Earth, and feel how good it feels to
be a mediator of energy.
With this, you are solidly anchored in the present moment. Feel how all
burdensome energies flow and transform through this connection. Give
this flow space and simply listen to the voice of your organs.
The essential nature of our organs
The essential nature of our organs
Suppose our scientific knowledge of humans were only part of the truth
and our organs were not merely clusters of cells, but spiritual-soulful
entities, filled with structures and functions for our existence on
this planet. Then our organs would certainly be more than the sum of
facts and functions that keep the 'machinery' of the body running. This
is taken from my book LET YOUR BODY SPEAK.
They are soul-physical fundamental elements of our being of incredible
complexity, helping us to discover the grandeur of life. Here, the
statements of mystics astonishingly often align with the findings of
quantum physics and research on the light communication of our cells.
One of the aims of our reflexology treatments is therefore to
appreciate the organs in their spiritual aspects and to attempt,
through our practical work, to foster awareness of our body. The reward
is quite considerable: more zest for life, a deeper understanding of
health, and new experiences of a healing-being that encompasses body
and soul.
